It’s not rare to see an active
cheesecake, all dolled up and ready to have
fun. You’d be quite surprised at how many
active glamor girls are out there.
I was
getting ready for a hunt, when I realized
sporty pinups are all over the place. From
the earliest 30’s to today, sisters are
gearing up, taking hits and making hits.
Whatever these glamor girls play at,
sometimes they’re totally awkward and
sometimes they exude confidence in spades.
Here are the top 10 pinup games.
#10 Boxing
Ok, so there’s only one
classic pinup in this world that depicts a
boxer. She’s an Elvgren girl and he named her
simply “A Knockout”.
There is, however, one more hot pinup that
boxes and really knows how to hand out a
punch. The daughter of legend Muhammad Ali,
Laila Ali- definitly pinup worthy.
#9 Lassoing
Many cowgirls in this
field, but most of them don’t actually ride.
The ones that do ride, ride wooden beams.
These fence-flowers do show off a different
skill, though: Lassoing!

#8 Water Sports
- Fishing -
Some say Fishing isn’t quite a sport, but
if ESPN says it is, so I won’t argue
. Glamor girls just love
their water sports (as long as they
get to stay dry). Fishing is quite
popular among the girls, luckily the
brutal sports are not as fashionable
these days.
- Surfing -
Surfingis a great time to show off your
flowery bathing cap. Another thing many
glamor girls like to do, is show off their
Yoga skills and bend in ways that aren’t
that obvious.
- Water Skiing
- is a raraty, but it’s allso a fun
sport:
- Sailing - An
all time pinup favorine passtime. These
girls do it all. Start the engine, padle or
scout. Not without the traditional
repricoutions, of course.
#7 Bicycling
This doesn’t seem to be
done for sport, but merely for pleasure.
Pinups love taking the ole’ bicycle out for a
spin.
#6 Winter Sports
It’s sad to say, but
winter sports are just not a pinup thing.
Falling and twisting seems to be the
expertise.
Of course, some are more graceful than
others:
#5 Bowling
The’s gals of the 50’s
loved a good round of bowling. Some were prow
and some not so much, but that was the game
of the era.
#4 Golf
Unexpected and yet
there it is.
The golfing girls are quite serious. It all
started with the legendary trick-shot artist
Jeanne Carmen:
#3 Other Stretching Machines
Many
pinups just like to go to the gym and hang
out with some weird machines. I wonder if
that butt shaking thing is still in use...
#2 Baseball
Not many artists fancied
this sport, but Pearl Frush had already
seen women’s baseball, when she painted
this cute catcher. When the war was on,
art was only imitating life, and the
female baseball league was, in fact,
made to wear skirts (no heels, thank
god).

Many sports go unnamed
here, but Gil Elvgren and Duane Bryers were
always inovaters in their field. From Archery
to Horseshoe throwing (WTF?!) they gave a
sexy spotlight to all of it:
