The Pinup Shop Update: Good Girls Gone Bad

I just couldn't hold her back! This sweet wife and mother wanted her pinup portrait extra badass. The motorcycle, the leather, the works. She also told me she wants the name of the piece to be Hell On Wheels- I just couldn’t refuse her. Winking Of course she's the sexiest mama around and makes hot biker chick. I guess sometimes, good girls just want to go bad.

The Pinup Shop Update: A Home Run for the Girls

Baseball isn't just a guy thang, as I prove in Top 10 Pinup Games - Sporty Glamor Girls. I thought it’d be cool to pay respect to all the female sports-players out there, with a little homage to the 1950's baseball uniform. These batting bombshells were true pros.

The Pinup Shop Update: I'm in Print!

I’m totally stoked! Last month Holli-Mae Searle, the editor of 21st Century Pinup, a print magazine, featuring todays finest neo-pinups and burlesque stars, contacted me for an article. The May issue is all about pinups around the world. I represented Israel, of course. So check out my article (just flip to the last 3 pages)!

The Pinup Shop Update: Marilyn 2008

It's Time for a Change

You all know how much I love diversity, so when Anita turned to me for a Marilyn Monroe-styled portrait, I was stoked. Nothing gives me more pleasure than referencing the queen of all that is retro chick.

But, for me, the best part of it was that I get to give a shake to the idea of what's beautiful. I give you Marilyn in a 2008 model. No longer does the slender blond dominate the beauty ideal. There’s beauty in all of us, I think this pin-up portrait proves it, beyond any doubt.

So click on the item of your choice, below and get with beauty- 2008 style!

Another hit for glam-diversity baby!

The Pinup Shop Update: Introducing the New Pinup Shop Survey

So, do I look any different to you? Nope, it's not my hair. I didn't loose weight... Ok, ok, you yanked it out of me. Are you ready?..

I have a new tab!

See the pink navigation tabs at the top of the page? See the one that says Survey? That's the one!

And that's not all! When you click on it, it takes you to the new Pinup Shop Survey.

Ok, ok, I know, who wants to do a survey, right? Well, here's the thing:

The Pinup Shop has been doing well, selling my retro girlie art. But it's just not enough to make a living. So a thought came to my mind: What do you want?

Mauling it over, I realized I never asked you what you want to see in the shop! Please take some time out of your day, click on that pink tab and let me know.

And don't think that just because you never bought any of my scrumptious cheesecake that gets you off the hook! I specially designed this survey to fit both customers and window shoppers, alike. So you have no excuse. Winking

In all seriousness, really, I just want to know what you want. Happy

The Pinup Shop Update: Let's Touchdown Baby!

This football fanatic is just as ambitious as the team!

I won't tell you how this glamor gal got on the uprights, I can only say she's very ambitious. She's not a player, but she is a fan, and ambitious fans are just as important as ambitious players. Whether you're a player or a team member, this naughty redhead is ready to help you get you in the spirit of the game. And since it's just as important to have supporters, as it is players, The Pinup Shop is supporting in its typical retro fashion.

The Pinup Shop Update: I Prefer Them Alive

For this Pinup, Polar Bears aren't Just a Prop!

While thinking up a pinup for Earth Day, I came across Enoch Bolles' horrific (yet mesmerizingly painted) pinup in red lingerie. Traumatized for life, an idea popped into my head for another environmental pinup.

As many of you know, one of my favorite pinups involves such senseless brutality, Elvgren's The Bear Facts (under the Enoch Bolles pinup). This is my take on The Bear Facts, and the role of Polar Bears in pinup art, in the 21st century.

Click on the item of your choice and Say "no" to the bear-rug.

keep polar bears and pinups alive!

The Pinup Shop Update: I'm Not Irish but Kiss Me Anyway

Non-Irish Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

A few good months ago I wrote an article about pinups and diversity. A prominent shortage of African American pinups bugged me. So I was pretty ecstatic when I was contact by my current model. Black and voluptuous, she made The Pinup Shop truly diverse.

In the spirit of diversity and the up-coming St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd retaliate to all the "Kiss Me I'm Irish" T-shirts on CafePress and give the non-Irish a chance to be loved.

Get lucky this St. Patrick's with a I'm Not Irish but Kiss Me Anyway item.

The Pinup Shop Update: Lesbians Love The Pinup Shop

After Being interviewed by Lesbiatopia's Paula Brooks, I noticed a comment left on the article, by Lesbiatopia's Editor in Chief, Renee Gannon, saying:

"I want to be a pinup girl!
