The Holidays are coming and it’s time for

pinups dressed in green, I could find, but
green was a popular color, back then. So I
pulled up my sleeves and went out to find
specifically-made St. Patrick’s pinups. It’s
not sophisticated, but it’s a delight.
A few good months
ago I wrote an article about
pinups and diversity. A prominent
shortage of African American pinups bugged
me. So I was pretty ecstatic when I was
contact by my current model. Black and
voluptuous, she made The Pinup Shop truly

In the spirit of diversity and the up-coming

The pinup
revival is not about doing it like Vargas.
Today’s pinups are only a reminder of what
pinups used to look like. They have their own
special edge, with the tattoos, the piercing
and the brightly dyed hair. Maybe, in fifty
years- when the next pinup revival comes,
instead of the Betty Page hair-cut, they’ll
all have pink or red hair and body paint?
I was really hoping on a top 10 list of
pinups, for Thanksgiving. Once again, my
dreams of listing have been brutally
shattered by the sad realities: Thanks giving
isn't sexy enough for pinups. There are
almost no Thanksgiving bombshells, out
there.
Yes, I love doing
lists for this blog, because it gives me
a chance to dive into a massive search
for retro girlie art, in Google. I ogle
sexy, half naked women, for hours on
end, under the pretext of work. (jealous
much ) This Thanksgiving, my
work has been unproductive.

correlation between the commercialization of
holidays and the growth of pop culture is
