Pinup Artists of Imagekind

Pinup artists are all over the net, meet my personal favorites.

A few months ago I exposed you to the fantastic artists of DeviantART. Today I’d like you to meet the incredible pinup artists of Imagekind. Whether it’s cartoon cheesecake, retro girls next door, or sexy neo-pinups, you can find it on Imagekind.

Frank G - Artistic Nude Photography

Frank G Pinup Frank G Artistic Nude

Frank G’s photographs are all titled with the model’s name. His works depict an intimate moment. Always loving and respectful of the female form, whether it’s a pinup or an artistic nude. The images are clean and have a sharp finish.

Ariel McMillion - Cartoon Neo-Pinups

Ariel McMillion’s cartoon neo-pinups are sexy and straightforward. Always looking the viewer in the eye, and many times deliberately doing something seductive and naughty. It’s no wonder he’s a fixture of Slitz Magazine.

Sarah Cayson - Kitty Kat Pinups

Sarah Cayson is a pinup, beauty and fashion photographer. Her Kitty Kat Pinups is a classically fun collection of beautiful women, doing their glamorous bit. Looking good and surprised is the specialty. Very retro and very well done!

John Rizzuto - Documentary Styled Pinups

John Rizzuto’s photography has a very realistic feel. It’s almost as though he was documenting these women- no direction. Like we’re looking at the behind the scenes of a pinup photo-shoot. Often, a model’s face will convey deep emotions, instead of lighthearted sexiness and fun. A fascinating take on pinup art.

Martin Abel - Goth Pinup Illustration

Martin Abel’s girls look like adorable Goth dolls. They look like what would happen to a Bratz doll after she passed her preteen stage. An interesting comparison: Unlike Mcmillion’s pinups, Abel’s girls don’t look at you.

Nicky Lin - Illustrated Glamor Girls

Nicky Lin has charming stylized illustration. Idealized faces and bodies, outlined from their background. Some of her work is straight-out pinups, some is closer to the artistic nude. Most of Lin’s pinups have a vulnerable gaze, which, in my opinion, ads a human appeal to her pinups.

Troy Parke - Pinup Line Art

It’s not easy to convey volume, using only lines, but Troy Parke does it and does it incredibly well! Line art is not a typical technique for pinup art, but with only a few strokes of a brush, Parke captures beauty, sexuality and light-hearted fun. What’s a pinup if not those exact qualities? Parke’s work is, many times, insinuative and leaves out many details, it’s astonishing to see how so little does so much.

Ray Schmitz - Fantasy, Sports, Cowgirls and Biker Art

Ray Schmitz’s specialty is in biker art styled pinups. Hyper-realistic and full of detail, Schmitz brings to life impossibly beautiful women, engaging in sports, riding motorcycles or just looking unbearably sexy. I guess you can call it 80’s retro.

Brandon Dayton - Cartoon Pinups with Personality

As the director of animation, Brandon Dayton’s cartoon pinups really look like they can move. Although all the girls have the same idealized body, each girl has an individual face and personality. There are only three pinup pieces in Dayton’s gallery, but let’s hope he adds some more.

Damon Allen Davison - Feels Like Vintage

On the one hand; Damon Allen Davison’s pinups are obviously neo-pinups. On the other; they have a distinct vintage feel to them. It’s hard to classify them as part of a certain time or place, because they’re mish-mash of retro and modern. Sometimes a model looks like she’s from the here-and-now, but her setting is retro. It creates a very interesting and unique look, that I’ve never seen before.

Hope you enjoyed the pinup artists of Imagekind. Feel free to visit me there, as well Winking
Sig Pink
